What to know when visiting us

Appointments
To schedule an appointment please contact us directly at
+27 636 884 039.
Please try to arrive on time for your child’s appointment.
If you are more than 10 minutes late, then we will have to reschedule your appointment for a different time or day.
Please phone the practice if you are running late in order for us to advise you properly.
Same-day sick appointments are available on an as needed basis. Please contact reception and we will assess how urgently your child should be seen. We will then schedule an appointment according to your needs.
If your child is in need of urgent medical assistance please do not contact us via email or social media. Make contact with the office immediately or take your child to the nearest emergency room.

What to remember
Always dress your baby or child comfortably
Leave the other siblings at home or with a care giver, its very difficult to get the most of your appointment if the other siblings also demand your time and attention.
Always bring your child’s immunization card/road to health card along
Bring any medication that you were giving at home.
Make a list of your questions and bring it along.
Please schedule individual appointments for each child.

Cancellation
If you are unable to keep an appointment, please contact us 24 hours in advance directly at +27 636 884 039.
We understand that family emergencies and difficulties can arise. All appointments not cancelled will be charged.

Emergencies
For after hour Emergencies please take your child to the Emergency department at Eugene Marais Hospital or the nearest emergency room. Should it be necessary for your child to be admitted, the paediatrician on call will be contacted.

We will always try to be on time, but sometimes emergencies happen and doctor might need to tend to an emergency caesarean section or a sick child admitted from the emergency room, some kids are overwhelmed and need some time to calm down. Please bear with us, as next time it might be your child that needs some extra attention.
